PMA cadet dismissed a month before his graduation for being 2 minutes late for a class
His disgruntled sister took to Facebook to share his story.
Vincent Cabreza of the Philippine Daily Inquirer reports that the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has dismissed Cadet First Class Aldrin Jeff Cudia, an honor student, for arriving two minutes late for his next class.
The report explained that in a Facebook post, Cudia's sister, Avee claimed her brother was dropped from the rolls of the graduating class after the school's honor committee found him to be "lying" after he explained his tardiness by saying his professor was late in dismissing him. Avee said her brother and his classmates "were asked to stay for a couple of minutes by their instructor at the end of his class because the teacher had to hand them some papers."
Avee also claimed her brother "had been detained at a PMA holding center for a month" because of his infraction. The cadet would have graduated as a salutatorian had he been allowed to march with the rest of the Class of 2014 on March 16.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Emmanuel Bautista has already ordered a probe on Cudia's case.
