Red Hot Chili Peppers vocalist Anthony Kiedis spotted surfing in Siargao
It’s nice to know he’s enjoying himself.
Michael Joe Delizo of the Manila Bulletin reports that Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) vocalist Anthony Kiedis was photographed surfing in Siargao Island just days after the world-famous band headlined the 7107 International Music Festival in Clark, Pampanga.
According to the report, the photos of Kiedis riding the waves in Siargao and mingling with the locals was posted on Facebook on Tuesday (Feb. 25) by local surfing legend Manuel "Wilmar" Melindo. They were taken by Johnson Sy. Another set of photos, meanwhile, were also made public by Facebook user Ongsten Denosta Montenegro.
The 51-year-old Kiedis is known for his penchant for surfing, trying to squeeze in time to ride the waves whenever RHCP is not on tour. He and RHCP bass player Flea "are also among celebrity front-liners in surfing fundraising events."
