Gretchen Barretto bails out former personal assistant of sister Claudine
Get ready for another catfight between the sisters.
ABS-CBNnews.com reports: "Dessa Patilan, 19, the former personal assistant accused by Claudine Barretto of robbing her was released from jail Monday, with the help of the former actress’ estranged sister, Gretchen."
Gretchen shelled out P60,000 for Patilan’s bail. Patilan had been detained at the Marikina City Jail for 10 months after Claudine accused her of stealing from a watch worth P1.8 million and jewelry amounting to P8.5 million. Patilan denies the allegations and , in fact, had claimed that Claudine had stolen some of her things, which included a wallet containing P10,700; an electronic tablet, which costs P3,000; a memory card worth P500; and her phone SIM card, which costs P50.
Patilan’s legal counsel, Atty. Alma Mallonga, was asked why Gretchen decided to bail out her sister’s former employee. "Because she thinks that doing the right thing is a good thing to do," Mallonga said. Meanwhile, Patilan said she was leaving it up to God to "enlighten" Claudine.
