DOTC set to unveil "master plan" for the PH’s first subway system
Shouldn’t they focus on improving the MRT and LRT first?
ABS-CBNnews.com reports that "the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is set to present the master plan for proposed projects in the airports and railways sector, including the country's first subway."
According to the report, the proposed Mass Transit System Loop is a 12-kilometer underground rail "that will connect Bonifacio Global City, Makati Central Business District, and the Mall of Asia in Pasay City." The plan for the subway system will be presented at an investors' forum on the Philippine public transportation system on Thursday (March 20).
Aside from the proposed underground rail, DOTC will also present its plans on the proposed extension of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) to Dasmarinas, Cavite and the proposed operation and maintenance of the LRT-2 "that is being extended all the way to Pasig City from Santolan for P9 billion."
