Meteor Garden fans tag rerun as "Commercial Garden" due to alleged ads overload
The show’s still popular after all these years.
Inquirer.net reports that not a few netizens were irked when the wildly popular Taiwanese drama series Meteor Garden began its rerun on ABS-CBN on Monday (March 31) "because of the long commercial breaks that interrupt the hit show."
According to the report, some fans of the show vented out their frustrations on Twitter and called the show "Commercial Garden" because several ads were aired during the show's one and a half hour run. One netizen even said "the show only ran for 30 minutes, while the advertisements ate up one hour."
The drama series, starring Taiwanese stars Barbie Hsu, Jerry Yan, Vic Chow, Vanness Wu, and Ken Zhou, was first aired by the network in 2003.
