Wow, that was fast! Arrest warrants out for Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, & the rest of the crew who allegedly mauled Vhong Navarro
It sure seems like the wheels of justice went on overdrive for this case.
In a country famed for how slow things go, the release of the arrest warrants for those alleged to be responsible for beating up actor Vhong Navarro was done in record time. Faster than you can say, "It’s showtime!" The case blew up in January and now, just months later, we have this development. (Meanwhile, other more significant cases haven’t been resolved yet.)
Leonardo D. Postrado and Jun Ramirez of Tempo report that "Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima confirmed on Monday, April 14, the issuance of arrest warrants against Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, Bernice Lee, Simeon Palma Raz Jr., Jose Paolo Gregorio Calma, Ferdinand Guerrero, and Jed Fernandez." All seven are facing serious illegal detention and grave coercion charges in connection with the January 22 mauling of Navarro.
