The Mind Museum gets a mindblowing award

Because we just had to use that adjective for this story.

Until we read about this on Philstar.com, we were not clued in on the award. But that doesn’t mean we can’t applaud the place that won it.

Philstar.com reports: "The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City won for its design and exhibits at the 20th annual Themed Entertainment Association Awards (THEA), which was recently held at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California."

The Mind Museum was among the 13 recipients of the THEA Awards for Outstanding Achievement. The distinction is touted as "a first for any establishment in the Philippines and for science museums in Asia."

The other places that also got the citation included Gardens by the Bay in Singapore; Enchanted Tales with Belle in the Walt Disney Resort in Florida; Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE, shown in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas; and Marine Worlds Carousel in Nantes, France.

The report described the award-giving body as "an international non-profit association representing the world's leading creators, developers, designers, and producers of compelling places and experiences."
