Senator Jinggoy Estrada’s family takes on Ombudsman’s lifestyle check
The family that’s under investigation together, stays together.
Christina Mendez of The Philippine Star reports that "Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon Gerard Mosquera has asked Bureau Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares to provide the Office of the Ombudsman with copies of the income tax return of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, as well as the ’certified true and clear copies’ his wife Presentacion and their four children, Janella Marie, Joseph Luis, Julian Emilio, and Julienne."
In light of the fact that his youngest child is just eight years old, Estrada has reportedly pleaded, "Spare my family, especially my children."
The report noted: "The lifestyle check report surfaced amid reports that the Sandiganbayan is expected to issue warrants of arrest against Estrada, Enrile and Revilla within the week."
