Why does a judge have to inspect Cedric Lee’s potential jail cell?

There are hordes of other prisoners who don’t get this type of attention.

If someone tells us one more time that the guy isn’t getting any special attention, then we’re going to need a barf bag. A supersized barf bag.

ABS-CBNnews.com reports that Taguig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 271 Judge Paz Esperanza M. Cortes conducted an inspection of the Taguig City Jail on Wednesday morning, May 14, "to find out whether the threats against businessman Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz are real or not."

In case you didn’t know, Lee is one of the respondents in the mauling and serious illegal detention case filed by actor Vhong Navarro. Raz is also one of the alleged "Vhong-beaters."

Lee had said that he prefers to be held at the detention center of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) while his case is being heard because he feared being targeted by other inamtes at the Taguig City Jail.

The report noted: "The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology disallowed members of the media to go inside the jail. The judge, who allegedly also inspected the jail cell that Lee might go into, also refused to be interviewed."
