Man protests by getting naked in front of the White House
Imagine if protests in the Philippines were done this way.
Agence France-Presse, via ABS-CBNnews.com, reports, "U.S. Secret Service personnel sprang into action Friday, May 23, outside the White House when a man named Michel Bechard stripped naked in what appeared to be a bizarre form of protest."
The report said "The incident happened shortly before President Barack Obama was due to give a speech at the White House announcing his new pick as housing secretary."
Bechard reportedly went near the Secret Service officers posted at the gate of the White House and then got naked.
Needless to say, Bechard got arrested. He’s been charged for indecent exposure and assault, as he engaged in a scuffle with cops who tried to subdue him. Most painful part of all: Nobody mentions what exactly Bechard was protesting about (or if he was really protestingin the first place).
We hope this doesn’t encourage anybody to get naked in front of Malacañan Palace.
