Power Plant Mall explains water surge inside premises
Technically, it wasn’t the rain that did it.
As Metro Manila experienced a downpour on Thursday, June 26, Power Plant Mall in Makati City had a water surge inside its premises. The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on the mall’s Concourse Level.
ABS-CBNnews.com reports that the Power Plant Mall has released a statement explaining what happened.
In the statement, the mall’s management said, "The overflow of water on the Concourse Level of the Power Plant Mall on June 26, 2014 at around 3:30 p.m. was caused by a disengaged storm drain pipe from the roof deck, located above a food establishment on that level."
The statement went on to say that "staff at the Power Plant Mall Operations team contained the situation and stopped the surge of water."
Operations in the mall’s concourse level reportedly resumed after the mess was dealt with.
