Pacman is longest reigning fighter in The RING magazine’s list of world’s best boxers

He’s impressive when he’s in his element.

He may not be No. 1 overall, but he’s certainly the champion when it comes to staying power.

Based on The RING Magazine’s pound-for-pound list, which values a boxer's standing in relation to fighters of different weight classes, Manny Pacquiao has been on the list for 548 weeks or a little over 10 years.

ABS-CBNnews.com explained that The RING Magazine "is considered the bible of boxing, determines the pound-for-pound ranking based on the boxers’ most recent victories, performances, and track record, including the quality of opposition they have faced.:

The report noted that Pacquiao is listed as the 4th best fighter in the world behind Floyd Mayweather Jr., Andre Ward, and Wladimir Klitschko. The second longest staying fighter on the list is Juan Manuel Marquez, who has been on the list for 373 weeks. Marquez’s current standing is at No. 6 on the pound-for-pound list.

The report added: "The other longest reigning pound-for-pound fighters are Klitschko at 197 weeks and Ward at 163 weeks. Mayweather, who tops the list, has been on the top 10 for 141 weeks."
