List of DAP projects left some "interesting" details out, says former National Treasurer
P-Noy has more explaining to do
As they say, the devil is in the details. The problem is, many of the details seem to be missing...so that exposes the devil?
Lira Dalangin-Fernandez of Interaksyon.com reports that Leonor Briones, a former National Treasurer, said that the recently released list of projects funded under the discredited Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) lacked crucial details.
Briones called the list "interesting" but pointed out that what was left out is even more so. She elaborated, "For example, you have P100 million for a certain building, but what is its actual value? There has to be a showing of details."
Briones also said that Malacanang should stop claiming that these DAP allocations greatly helped the Philippine economy. Instead, she stressed that the increase in Gross Domestic Product was due to the efforts of the public and private sectors, as well as the national budget.
