Paulo Bediones on circulating sex video: "It’s blackmail"

Keeping your privates private can get tricky in this day and age

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on August 1 (Friday) that news anchor Paolo Bediones has presented evidence to police officials pointing towards blackmail. This is in response to the sex video that has been circulating online over the last couple of days.

The actor posted a letter on his Instagram account, detailing the extortion. The letter reads:

Hawak ko ngayon ang mga sex videos mo.
madali naman akong kausap!

Kung ayaw mong lumabas ito sa publiko, tawagan mo ako.
Antayin ko ang tawag mo!
Wag mo patagalin, mainipin ako,

Bediones has filed a formal complain against the unnamed blackmailer. The report detailed that the videos were stored privately in Bediones’ laptop, which he had repaired. Three months after he brought it to the shop, he received a threatening letter but chose to ignore it. Bediones received another note, which the news anchor also dismissed.

"He ignored it thinking that it will just die down, then the videos were uploaded and this happened," Chief Inspector Jay Guillermo said.
