KFC jumps on the #ChickenSad hashtag, offers a solution to Chicken Joy shortage
The chicken war intensifies
Patrons of the fast food giant Jollibee have been using the #ChickenSad hashtag to express their frustration and disappointment over the unavailability of favorites on the menu-including the iconic Chicken Joy-for a week now...and on Thursday (August 7), another fast food giant stepped in to remind people that there are alternatives.
Â
"No such thing as ‪#‎ChickenSad‬ in the house of ‪#‎SoGood‬" reads the caption on the photo on KFC Philippine’s Facebook page
Â
Update: Not to be outdone, Kogi Bulgogi jumps in on the fowl wagon and offers happiness:
Â
"Turn that frown upside down! Let us all be #chickenhappy with our#kpopchicken" reads the caption on Kogi Bulgogi’s Facebook page
Â
In any case, Jollibee released a statement on the "shortage" on the same day, saying that, "We are committed to having all our products-including Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti and Yumburgers-available again in all our affected stores soonest. We would like to apologize for this inconvenience, and thank our customers for bearing with us."
Â
KFC’s willing to take care of the flock for a while and there’s also the Top 10 Southern-Style Fried Chicken to try while Jollibee is "upgrading" their system.
