Comedian Robin Williams found dead in Northern California home
"A whole human life is just a heartbeat here in Heaven. Then we’ll all be together forever."
He played several characters in his long career in Hollywood-an alien, a teacher, a doctor, Peter Pan, the Genie, a robot who wants to be a man, a man trying to be a woman nanny for his children-and the news of his death on August 12 (Tuesday) shocked and saddened fans, friends, and family.
The 63-year-old actor was found lifeless in his home in Northern California on August 11 (Monday) and the police reports list asphyxia as a cause of death. The authorities have not ruled out a possible suicide. Williams struggled with depression and was very open about his attempts to seek help, actively fighting against the stigma against mental disorder while he was alive. He was reported to have checked into a rehabilitation center to get appropriate treatment for his addiction to alcohol a month ago.
