Fil-Am hairstylist gives free haircuts to homeless in New York
For your dose of warm and fuzzies.
A Filipino-American hairstylist is giving back to the community by doing what he does best. The Huffington Post first reported the story on Mark Bustos’ unique Sunday routine: walking around the streets of New York and offering free haircuts to the homeless.
Â
The good deed began in 2012 during a visit to the Philippines. He said he gave poor children a haircut while there and decided to spread the good act back in the U.S. Other than New York, Bustos also conducts his services in other areas, incluing Jamaica and California.
Â
He shares photos of his clients on his Instagram account using the hashtag #BeAwesomeToSomebody.
