International Coastal Cleanup set for September 20

Volunteer for the world’s largest ocean cleanup event

Good deeds shouldn’t be a one-time thing, but if they really must be, pencil in September 20 for the 28th International Coastal Cleanup event.

It’s the world’s largest volunteer effort to collect pounds of trash and debris from beaches, lakes and waterways, which we in Manila are all too familiar with. Make it a group effort and head to the Coastal Road in Parañaque City from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

If you need more incentive, each participant will be given a special shirt as they help clean up Manila’s coastal shores.

For inquiries, contact Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup at 0917-372-8702 (ICC Philippines) or 0916-411-6446 (PCGA). You may also send them an email via iccphilippines@gmail.com. Log on to their website for more information.
