SM Supermalls vow to pull out "unacceptable" shirt that promotes rape culture
No means no. Rape is rape.
The Philippine Star reported on Tuesday (September 23) that SM Supermalls has responded to the call for action from Facebook users to remove a disturbing and rather disgusting shirt from their department stores.
Writer Karen Kunawicz posted the photo on her wall and expressed her dismay that a mall that refused to screen Sweeney Todd would allow a shirt that belittles the gravity of sexual assault to be sold. SM assured the public that they too find the message of the shirt "unacceptable" and they will pull the stocks out immediately.
No means no, folks. Rape is a serious crime against humanity.
