InterAksyon reported on Thursday (October 2) that Typhoon Phanfone (local name Neneng) might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday. However, PAGASA clarified that the rain in Luzon-particularly in Metro Manila-are not the effects of this new storm.
Saludes added that the public should still be prepared for isolated rain showers and thunder storms on Thursday afternoon or evening.
