GMA News shared undated photos of PNP Chief Director General Alan Purisima’s house in Nueva Ecija on Thursday (October 2). The photos were released in an attempt to quell the rumors that he has a mansion with an Olympic-size swimming pool.
An aerial shot of property was featured in TV Patrol and Failon Ngayon and according to experts interviewed for the programs, the estimated cost of everything in the lot is close to P50 million. Purisima clarified in a press conference that his house is an ordinary house that he gradually "improved" over the years.
A separate report by ABS-CBN News quoted him saying that his conscience is "very, very clean" and that the numbers reported by the media are inflated.
The PNP chief recently became embroiled in several corruption allegations, which had certain groups calling for his resignation.
