P-Noy ready to face consequences of unjust judicial system
Translation: He’s willing to go jail for DAP
The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Thursday that President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III says he is willing to pay the price for making certain decisions, including those he made regarding the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
President Aquino explained that this is his way of standing by the careful thought that was placed in the implementation of the program.
"I guess the best way to answer that is all the decisions I made were never spur of the moment. They were well studied and arising from the best advice I could get from various sectors. Now, at the end of the day, I think I can defend all of the decisions that we made," the report quoted him saying at the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines forum.
P-Noy continued to defend the DAP, but admitted that his decisions are not perfect. The press asked if he was willing to be arrested if charges were made against him after his term, to which he replied: "If there is a situation where we're back to an unjust judicial system, then that is a necessary consequence."
