VP Binay backs out of debate, Trillanes suggests he withdraw from Elections 2016
"Lamest excuse ever," said the Senator
On Tuesday, Vice President Jejomar Binay announced that he is no longer interested in attending the November 27 debate with Senator Sonny Trillanes. ABS-CBN News reported that the veep backed out because he has heard enough.
Senator Trillanes responded via ANC and said, "That’s the lamest excuse you can ever get from anyone. Nobody is going to buy that."
The Senator said that following this "lack of intention to face the people," the Vice President should also withdraw from the presidential race in 2016. He added that he is not entirely surprised by this move, "like all promises that he has made, mahirap panghawakan."
