Pacquiao bests Algieri, Roach says the People’s Champ will start preparing for Mayweather
Pacquiao is pumped up for the next match
On Sunday (November 23), Pacquiao proved that he’s in great fighting shape as he dominated the ring and handed Chris Algieri his first loss. Macau and the rest of the world tuned in and watched as Pac-man’s punches knocked the younger boxer off his feet.
For Coach Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trusted trainer, the celebration was brief. GMA News reported that shortly after the fight, Roach was already watching the tape and preparing for Floyd Mayweather. Roach is optimistic about the chances of the highly anticipated match happening next year as he shared that he made an effort to "arrange a dialogue between veteran promoter Bob Arum and CBS chairman Leslie Moonves."
Negotiations are in full swing and post-fight, Pacquiao said that "it’s time to say ’yes.’"
