Prayers for Typhoon 'Hagupit'
CBCP urges public to take hold of the power of prayer
As the Philippines braces for another potential super typhoon, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) appeals to the faithful to join together in praying for the people who will most likely be affected.
CBCP Episcopal Commission on Public Affairs Chair and Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo called out to Filipinos during an interview with Radyo Veritas to "intensify our prayers that incoming typhoons will not cause much damage. Prayers help a lot. [...] Let us learn from the lessons on Yolanda. We also appeal to the people to be generous to help any area that will be damaged by the typhoons."
Typhoon ’Hagupit’ is expected to make landfall in Eastern Visayas and bring 215 millimeters of rain.
