Meralco cuts back charges for December, petrol prices also going down
Merry Christmas for consumers
It's looking like a happy Christmas for our wallets this December.
With petrol prices still going down, consumer groups are calling for a decrease in the cost of public transport and prime commodities. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has reportedly appealed to traders to lower prices, asking "for them to report [about] the directive of the government to lower the cost of goods and services," says DTI Undersecretary Vic Dimagiba.
Meralco has also announced a decrease in charges on December's bill, details of which will be disclosed next week.
