MRT / LRT fare hike is like a Taylor Swift song: "Treacherous"
And a gimmicky protest was staged in protest of this uncool move

(SPOT.ph) A protest against the MRT / LRT fare hike was rolled out in Metro Manila on Sunday, January 4. Militant groups showed up in stations with thumbs-down cards (similar to the "like" button on Facebook) and took selfies as a creative form of opposing the "unjust" fare increase.
Commenting further on the subject, Strike the Hike spokesperson Mark Louie Aquino said that the implementation was "treacherously" done during the holidays, in order to minimize opposition. The Strike the Hike Network will file a restraining order at the Supreme Court today in an effort to counter the government’s decision.
No word yet on the efficacy of the "selfie protest" and, sorry, it costs P28 to get to Taft Avenue from North Avenue now.
