Paying monthly SSS contributions is a permanent part of adulting -- whether your choose to be an employee or work as a freelancer.
For employees, it's a must to check if those SSS contributions deducted monthly from your salary are remitted properly--with the correct amount and in a timely manner.
For freelancers, it's a way to ensure that you're paying the correct amount religiously.
Here are the different ways you can check your SSS contributions:
1. My.SSS Portal
If you don't have a My.SSS portal yet, you can register at the SSS website so you can conveniently view your contributions online.
Once you have an account, click the "Inquiry" tab and choose "Contributions" in the drop-down menu. There, you'll see your contributions from the date you or your employer started remitting the monthly contributions.
You can also see how much is your monthly contribution, and your total contribution since you started paying.
2. SSS Mobile App
Another way you can check your SSS monthly contributions is through the mobile app which is available for download on iOS devices, and the Google Play Store for android devices.
Once you have downloaded the app, log in with your My.SSS credentials and select "My Contribution" to view your monthly contributions.
You can also check the amount paid monthly as well as your total contribution.
3. Text Message
Don't have immediate access to the internet? You can check your contributions via text message.
To do so, you need to register first at the SSS text facility by sending the following details to 2600:
SS REG [SS NUMBER] [BIRTHDAY IN THE FORMAT MM/DD/YYYY]
Once you have registered you will receive your unique PIN which you can use for inquiries.
Check your SSS contributions by texting the following details to 2600:
SSS CONTRIB [SS NUMBER] [PIN]
