A 2022 report from LinkedIn detailed which jobs were on the rise in the past five years and continue to be in demand as the pandemic forces companies and employees to pivot.
The 2022 LinkedIn Jobs on the Rise list used data from January 2017 to July 2021 to calculate job titles that experienced the highest growth rates in that period. To make the list, jobs had to show consistent growth across the career networking platform's memebership base and grew to a meanignful size by 2021, LinkedIn said.
Other growing roles in Southeast Asia also dabbled in healthcare, tech, management, and data.

Here are the growing jobs in the Philippines for 2022, according to LinkedIn:
Media Buyer
Media Buyers are tasked with purchasing ads for a company's media campaigns on various digital and offline channels. Skills include knowledge on Facebook ads, media strategy, and digital marketing.
Landing a Media Buyer role is common in Marketing and Advertising and industries harnessing the Internet.
Around 93.9% of recent hires had a Bachelor's or Master's degree or higher and had about 2.7 years of experience. In 2021, 44.7% of hires were male and 55.3% were female.
Clinical Research Associate
The role entails mounting clinical trials and studies to test the efficacy of new treatments, LinkedIn said. Skills include clinical monitoring, good clinical practice, and clinical trial management.
Pharmaceuticals, Hospital & Health Care, Medical Device industries commonly hire Clinical Research Associates.
All recent hires had a Bachelor’s or Master’s and higher with at least 6.8 years of experience prior to the role. In 2021, 28.2% of hires were male and 71.8% were female.
Salesforce Consultant
These are hired to improve a client's deployments via Salesforce software through planning, implementation and problem solving. Skills incude Salesforce.com Development, Apex Programming, and Salesforce.com Administration.
Hires are often deployed to Information Technology & Services, Management Consulting, and Automotive industries.
Like Clinical Research Consultants, recent Salesforce Consultant hires all had Bachelor’s or Master’s and higher. Median years of experience prior to the role was at 3.8 years. In 2021, 67.3% of hires were male and 32.7% were female.
Cyber Security Analyst
Hires are required to monitor tech systems while developing new processes to guard their companies against online crime. Those looking to land the job must have knowledge in Security Information and Event Management, Security Operations Center, and Information Security.
The fields of Information Technology & Services, and Computer & Network Security commonly hire Cyber Security Analysts.
All recent hires for this role also had a Bachelor’s or Master’s and higher, usually with 4.4 years of experience prior. In 2021, 74.2% of hires were male and 25.8% were female.
Business Development Representative
These are early-career salespeople responsible for identifying and reaching out to prospective clients, according to LinkedIn. Skills often include Lead Generation, Sales, and Telemarketing.
Industries commonly hiring for the role are Marketing & Advertising, Computer Software, and Information Technology & Services
Of recent hires, 94.7% had Bachelor’s or Master’s and higher, with 4.4 years of experience prior to the role. In 2021, 50.3% of hires were male and 49.8% were female.
