Senatorial candidate Luke Espiritu, who went viral for roasting his more popular rivals in a nationally televised debate, said the rise in his popularity could be attributed to voters being so tired of traditional politics.
Twitter's new "Bardagulan King", labor leader Espiritu said he had received pledges of support among supporters of various presidential candidates since his encounters in the SMNI debates with former presidential spokesman Harry Roque and lawyer Larry Gadon.
"Why is it that several on the ground na nasa Leni camp actively supports me? Because they know that I represent someone na kalaban doon sa Duterte-Marcos... There are even others from the BBM camp, would you believe it?" Espiritu told ANC.
"The reason for that is even if the masses have different presidential candidates, they are divided in the person who will be occupying Malacanang, they are united in the fact that they are already sick and tired of the trapos," said Espiritu.
