The Philippines on Saturday reported 30,552 new COVID cases as the government widened access to booster jabs in the hopes of taming the omicron surge.
The day's tally brought total active cases to 280,619. The Department of Health also reported 97 new deaths and 41,471 recoveries.
Since the pandemic started, the Philippines has confirmed 3,387,524 total COVID cases including 53,406 deaths.
Aside from pharmacies, the government will also soon offer boosters at PITX, Metro Manila's commuter gateway to Southern Luzon.
