It’s Official: The Fort Strip in BGC Is Saying Goodbye
At least for now.
(SPOT.ph) The unexpected closure of Nectar Nightclub caught everyone by surprise, but no one anticipated that The Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City would follow so soon—so soon, in fact, that it won’t even make it to next year.
The iconic strip is slated to close indefinitely starting January 1, 2025.
“This is goodbye for now but not forever. We’ll be back. Better than you remember, and better than you can imagine. Until we close up on Jan 1, feel free to hang out at The Strip like you've always done! We'll see you there,” Bonifacio Global City said in a post.
The closure of The Fort Strip first came into the spotlight following the November announcement from Nectar Nightclub, a prominent LGBTQ-friendly spot known for its lively drag performances and vibrant community.
Located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 26th Street, The Fort Strip has been a cornerstone in establishing BGC’s lively mix of dining, nightlife, and entertainment options. It housed early trendsetters like Pier One, Prince of Jaipur, Embassy, and Amber Ultra Lounge. Feel old yet?

Why is the Fort Strip in BGC closing?
As of writing, the exact reasons behind the closure of The Fort Strip remain unclear, with no official statements on the future plans for the location. However, online speculation among the BGC community suggests a possible redevelopment into condominiums or commercial spaces.
Other businesses like L'Opera Ristorante and FUGA Bar and Restaurant are also planning to cease operations “to give way to the demolition of the Fort Strip.”
