The Panorama Manila Puts the Bay in Full View

(SPOT.ph) Once upon a time, to live in this part of Manila meant to live a good life. That idea is what The Panorama Manila by Anchor Land is trying to revive as it rises along Roxas Boulevard.

The Panorama Manila is a 53-storey luxury residential tower that offers expansive views of Manila Bay, joining a growing list of Anchor Land projects in the area, including Admiral Grand Suites and Admiral Baysuites, as the company continues to bet big on this part of the city. 

Anchor Land is pitching this P20 billion project as a “legacy investment”—which is to say, it’s not for everyone. It's not cheap, it's not central in the CBD sense, and most importantly, it's not pretending to be. It’s mostly for people looking to park money in real estate. Maybe even pop in for the occasional staycation.

Here’s a closer look at what’s in the works.

What to expect at The Panorama Manila

The Panorama Manila is part of Anchor Land’s broader effort to bring life back to what was once Manila’s most prestigious stretch, where members of the country's privileged set once built grand houses. This is, of course, also the same stretch that witnessed the arrival of the Spaniards, the occupation of Americans, and the wreckage of World War II.

Slowly, new buildings are starting to rise where old ones once stood.

As the name suggests, The Panorama Manila is all about the view. Located in the “Millionaire’s Row,” the same strip where the Admiral Hotel and a handful of other Anchor Land projects stand, the project is reminiscent of other waterfront districts like Sydney Harbour, The Palm in Dubai, and Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. You’re in the prime spot for bright orange sunset views that people only see from restaurants or hotel windows.

“Central Roxas Boulevard has it all—legacy, heritage, culture, and a thriving local economy. Owning a property here is like owning a piece of history,” Anchor Land President Beth Ventura said. “What sets our properties apart is the view—a permanent painting by your window.”

Anchor Land has tapped Asya Design Partner to take the lead on the project’s architecture. If the name rings a bell, they’re also behind Anchor Skysuites, The Knightsbridge Residences, The Beacon, and various SMDC Residences in Metro Manila. The goal this time: bring a modern design to a place with deep historical roots.

While renderings haven’t fully revealed how that plays out, early visuals suggest a mostly modern design: large glass windows and tall ceilings built to maximize views of the bay.

One of The Panorama Manila's standout features will include direct connections to nearby Anchor Land hotels, enabling unit owners to enjoy five-star services like housekeeping and room service.

“Operations should be easier since we have experience in the hotel business,” Ventura said.

What’s near The Panorama Manila

The project's location puts it within reach of several cultural institutions, government offices, and entertainment nearby—but of course, that also means there's no avoiding the chaos and traffic that Roxas Boulevard is known for.
