Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan said Friday YouTube had taken down channels that he sued for cyber libel for spreading fake news about his family.
The vice presidential candidate thanked YouTube and its owner, Google, for acting on his complaint against two channels that claimed he physically abused his wife, actress Sharon Cuneta, whom they also accused of adultery.

He also called the government and YouTube to be quick on resolving pending cases involving "fake news" as it thrives online.
"Sana ganun din sa iba na walang pangalan, na hindi senador, dahil nga marami ang nabibiktima nitong 'fake news'," he said.
