President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said he would reveal the "most corrupt" candidate eyeing to succeed him in the May 9 elections "in due time", because it's his obligation as leader of the country to do so.
Saying it's his "job to tell the truth", Duterte said he would discuss "what's wrong" with the candidates eyeing to succeed him as the nation awaits whether he would endorse anyone for president.
“I will personally name the candidates and maybe what’s wrong with them na kailangan malaman ng tao because you are electing a president -- sino ‘yung pinaka-corrupt na kandidato... Hindi ako namumulitika. I'm talking to you as your president,” he said in a taped public address aired Tuesday.
Among the presidential candidates, Duterte said there's one who is unfit to be a leader (talagang hindi pwedeng maging presidente), and another one who is too corrupt (masyadong corrupt).
