10 Times the Internet Made #DefendRepublic So Much Better
Our Comm's on a roll!
(SPOT.ph) On Wednesday afternoon, May 31, the Presidential Communications Operations Office posted a short animated video on "Extremism and Martial Law" on Twitter. The clip, which runs for 36 seconds, shows a boy holding a shield with the words "martial law" while fending off silhouettes of armed men tagged as "extremist." An ominous voiceover repeatedly states the words: "Martial law should be the rule of the land. Martial law, now."
The post was taken down after a few hours but not before social media users criticized the video for both its poor quality and propaganda content. And, of course, this is the Internet. Once it's out there, you can never take it back. We round up memes and edited screencaps inspired by the Communications Office's newest release.
