PNR’s Naga to Legazpi Route Is Back After Six Years

(SPOT.ph) Following a six-year hiatus, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) is set to reopen the 100-kilometer Naga-Legazpi route just in time for the holidays.

Starting December 27, the reopened route will have four daily trips from Naga City in Camarines Sur to Legazpi City in Albay and back. Specifically, there will be two from Naga to Legazpi from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and two from Legazpi to Naga from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fare ranges from P15 to P155 depending on the stop.

New three stations will also be introduced along the route: Travesia, Daraga, and Legazpi.  Additionally, the PNR will make stops at other stations including Naga, Pili, Iriga, Polangui, and Ligao, along with eight flag stops at Baao, Lourdes, Bato, Matacon, Oas, Bagtang, Washington Drive, and Capantawan.

It can be recalled that the PNR halted operations in the Naga-Legazpi route in April 2017 from the lack of train coaches and locomotives at that time.

Fare matrix for Naga to Legazpi route in PNR

Fares for the journey start at P15 for the initial station and go up to P155 for the final station. PNR is also offering a 20% discount to senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities.
