GUIDE: Train Hours in Metro Manila for Holy Week 2025
Plan your commute accordingly.
(SPOT.ph) Heads up, commuters! Metro Manila’s train lines will be adjusting operating hours in light of Holy Week.
Expect slight changes in LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3 and the Philippine National Railways (PNR) schedules starting Maundy Thursday, April 17 through Easter Sunday, April 20, as they carry out annual maintenance services during the long break.
So far, only LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 have released updated schedules—make sure to bookmark this article to stay updated if you want to make it on the last train home.

Train operating hours for Holy Week 2025
LRT-1
The LRT-1 will temporarily halt services from April 17 to 20.
Usual train hours will be in place from April 14 to 16, with the final trains setting off at 10:30 p.m. from Dr. Santos Station and 10:45 p.m. from Fernando Poe Jr. Station.
Normal operations for LRT-1 are set to resume on April 21.
LRT-2
According to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), there will be no LRT-2 rides from April 17 to April 20 to facilitate its annual maintenance activities.
LRT-2 will resume its normal operations on April 21 at 5 a.m.
MRT-3
The MRT-3 is set to conduct its annual maintenance work during Holy Week. As such, there will be no rides from April 17 to 20.
Services will run as usual on April 16, with the final trains departing at 10:30 p.m. from North Avenue Station and at 11:09 p.m. from Taft Avenue Station. Yup, MRT-3's one-hour extension of its operating hours is still in effect.
Normal service will recommence on April 21, with the first trains leaving at 4:30 a.m. from North Avenue Station and at 5:05 a.m. from Taft Avenue Station.
