How to Transfer Funds From GCash to Maya

(SPOT.ph) Mobile wallet GCash allows fund transfers to a number of banks and even rival e-wallets, including Maya (formerly known as PayMaya). Having one e-wallet is convenient, but it can help to run multiple active ones for reasons like bills payment and not putting your eggs in one basket.

You might have first heard of the e-wallet as PayMaya. They rebranded to Maya in late 2022 in line with it growing from its initial main focus as a payment central to an all-around digital banking platform. It took the Maya Bank's digital banking products and services and integrated it with PayMaya's payment platform to turn into Maya, a "revolutionary, game-changing, and relevant digital financial service" it said online.

Here’s how to transfer funds from GCash to PayMaya:

Log into your account

After logging in to the GCash app, tap ‘Bank transfer’.

Scroll down and tap ‘PayMaya/Maya’.

Input the amount, purpose of transfer, and Maya account details. Like GCash, the Maya account number is a mobile phone number.

Each transaction comes with a P15 fee on top of the amount you’re transferring. The transaction fee will be deducted from your GCash wallet.

Tap next. You will be shown a summary of details before proceeding with the transaction. If all details are correct, tap ‘Send Money’.

If the summary is correct, you can proceed with the transaction.
