Smart and TNT subscribers can now reload their Easytrip RFID with just a text message, the mobile service provider said Thursday.
The partnership between Smart Communications and the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp allows subscribers of the mobile service provider to use their load balance to top-up their Easytrip RFID. Both are part of the MVP Group.
"Through our partnership with MPTC, we're glad to offer our subscribers the added convenience and comfort of being able to reload their Easytrip RFID account anytime and anywhere so they have one less concern on the road," said Jane Basas, SVP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business at Smart.
Motorists can reload in denominations of P100, 300, P500, or P1,000 according to Smart. For prepaid subscribers, the amount will be deducted from their load balance. For Smart postpaid subscribers, the amount will be charged to their monthly bill.
Here’s how to reload via text message:
1. Key in EASY[AMOUNT] [12-DIGIT ACCOUNT NUMBER] and send to 3279.
2. You will receive a text message for every successful transaction and your Easytrip RFID account will be credited quickly after.
Motorists can also continue to reload their Easytrip RFID via the Easytrip website, at select reloading and installation sites, and payment centers.
