Both Manila and Muntinlupa are shortening the current curfew hours.
On Tuesday, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso announced that the 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew will be replaced with a 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. time. "Matapos lang itong state of health emergency ay unti-unti ko po ‘yang il-lift," Moreno said in a statement through his official Facebook page.
Similarly, on Monday, Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi signed an ordinance imposing a more relaxed curfew, with the updated hours of 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Those exempted from the ordinance include call center agents, hospital personnel, health care providers, and security staff.
Under the new ordinance, "no person shall be allowed to go out of their respective homes, except for certain circumstances allowed under the national and local issuances. In the case where a particular area is declared under Extreme Community Lockdown, a twenty-four (24) hour curfew shall be imposed exclusively therein."
The announcement comes as quarantine measures continue to be eased in the country.
