Traffic may never get better for us. With road closures, old public transport systems, and band-aid solutions to the increasing number of vehicles on the road, it's difficult to stay optimistic. Traffic plagues our daily lives enough, but if you bring your own car or rely on driving to get you places, renewing your license is an added headache.
If you have a regular day job, you know troublesome it is to renew your license. Given the schedule of government offices, you'd need to spend at least half a day to get that done. Thankfully, you won't have to miss a day of work anymore because you can renew your driver's license on Saturdays. The Land Transportation Office released the memorandum through Facebook.
According to the memo, applicants may now renew their licenses or apply for student permits on Saturdays at all Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver's License Renewal Offices nationwide beginning June 2019. The new policy will surely bring convenience to a lot of Filipinos across the country.
The announcement follows a previous memo from the agency which stated that renewal of licenses can be done at early as two months (60 days) before its expiry. To make things even easier, you may still also set appointments online through the Personal Appointment and Scheduling System on the LTO website.
Finally, some good news. Say goodbye to spending your weekdays at the LTO, then.
