(SPOT.ph)Â Looks like Manny Pacquiao can put another title under his belt: College Student. The senator and boxing veteran is back in school to formally finish his college education, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Makati.
The senator shared his very own college ID in an Instagram post on September 6, with the caption "Never stop learning because life never stops teaching." BTW, as of writing, the post has more than 200,000 likes. Pacquiao, whose rags-to-riches background is no secret, got to Grade 12 before he had to stop. In a speech before the Oxford Union at the Oxford University in 2018, he spoke openly about his lack of formal schooling, saying that instead, he was educated through "the Open University of Life."
The senator had admitted he was back in school earlier in 2019, adding that he was in favor of putting in a college degree as a requirement for senate hopefuls, in a report by Inquirer.net. If he intends to follow through on this new advocacy for education, we can only hope that the senator steps up and makes sure his class attendance is much better than his Congress record.Â
