NLEX to Malabon Real Fast: New Harbor Link Ramp Opens February 21

One step closer to a new thoroughfare!

(SPOT.ph) Looks like super north folks are finally getting the attention they deserve! The Malabon exit of the NLEX Harbor Link is expected to open on February 21, announced Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar on his Facebook page. Motorists will be able to go straight from the Caloocan Interchange to Dagat-Dagatan Avenue in Malabon City once this ramp opens.

This ramp is part of the C3-R10 section of the NLEX Harbor Link's segment 10. The entire section stretches for 2.6 kilometers from the Caloocan Interchange along C3 Road to the Radial Road 10 in Navotas City. Only about 1.2 kilometers—up to the Malabon exit—is slated to open on February 21, according to an article by the Philippine News Agency.

The C3-R10 section is the last leg needed for the NLEX Harbor Link to connect all the way from the Karuhatan exit in Valenzuela City to the port area in Navotas City. In total, the link will stretch for around 10 kilometers and will give motorists direct access to the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas.

Villar also expects this big-ticket project to help ease congestion elsewhere in the Metro, as the NLEX Harbor Link will give trucks and other cargo vehicles an alternate route to the harbor area. The entire C3-R10 is seen to be fully operational by March. Fingers crossed we won't have to wait much longer!
