S&R Confirms Koko Pimentel Visited One of Their Branches Last Week
They have placed employees who were in contact with the senator in quarantine.
(SPOT.ph) S&R Membership Shopping released a statement that Senator Koko Pimentel—who tested positive for COVID-19 on March 24—was at their Bonifacio Global City branch in the early afternoon of March 16. According to the statement, posts of the senator shopping at S&R made the rounds online yesterday, March 25, which prompted them to check their CCTV footage. "Footage showed him checking out at counter 13 at exactly 1:59 p.m.," according to the statement.
Employees who came in contact with the senator have already been placed under quarantine. Management also took extra disinfection steps after the senator was confirmed to have been in the area, according to the statement. "We are taking measures to maintain the safety of our members," it added.
This comes after Makati Medical Center's statement released on March 25, in which the hospital denounced the senator's breach of protocols when he accompanied his pregnant wife to the hospital on March 24. At that time, the senator was classified as a person under investigation. He was reportedly given the test on March 20 and found out he was positive on the night of March 24.
