Heads Up, Commuters: Your beep cards Can Now Earn Reward Points
You can use your points to redeem load.
(SPOT.ph) Any savvy Metro Manila commuter definitely has a beep card (or two, just in case) in their daily arsenal. This reloadable contactless card is used to pay for rides on trains and buses with a little more ease—and it looks like it's getting another useful update: Reward points! Yup, commuters can now earn points by using their beep cards in partner public utility vehicles and stores up until November 22.
You can earn points by downloading their app and registering your card; up to five different ones can be put in, but just note that they will each have their own separate point count.
One point will be earned for each peso you use at participating buses, other passenger vehicles, and retail stores in the capital. Transactions for train lines are not included in the promo, according to the beep website.
For every 1,000 points you earn, you can redeem P10 worth of load through the app. Claiming your reward load will have to be done at beep e-load stations. This promo can help in pushing towards contactless payments, AF Payments Inc. executive Sharon Fong told ABS-CBN.
