Must-See Space: This Bright and Airy Three-Storey Home Doesn't Feel Like It's in QC

It's very, very windy, for one.

(SPOT.ph) Most homeowners yearn for a dwelling that's "maaliwalas," the closest English translation of which would perhaps be a combination of what we know as "bright" and "uncluttered." In this three-storey, five-bedroom home in Casa Milan, Quezon City, it's all about a wide expanse of space, letting the air in, and elegant picks that accentuate various areas of the home. It was very windy when the Presello team shot this house tour, to which host Julia comments, "It's almost like you're not in Quezon City."

The facade showcases textures and patterns, with the combination of wood, glass, and concrete for that modern contemporary aesthetic. You get an inkling of the vast space inside, thanks to its high-ceilinged structure. Upon entry, you are welcomed by the two-vehicle carport with a sloped flooring. From this area, you can go inside the home via the señorita steps leading to the main door, or go to the garden via the side access.

The front door is made of narra.

Most homes nowadays feature narra doors for their main entry, but this home's narra door differs a bit as it comes with a smart lock.

The house opens to a living area that just wows.

The living room is just a preview of how spacious this dwelling could get. The striking feature of this area would have to be the Italian engineered stone surface that serves as an accent wall. It's somewhat transparent, allowing you to turn it into an accent piece or lightning piece should you decide to add lighting provisions behind it.

The kitchen and dining areas are combined, making for a perfect spot for entertaining.

Directly connected to the living area is the kitchen and dining areas, where you have more-than-enough space toentertain your visitors. On one side of the dining area is a mirror-like accent wall, which lends a glam feel to the space.

The kitchen's layout might just inspire you to create food content.

We don't know about you, but we can imagine doing a spiel or two while preparing food on that island counter with a gorgeous marble countertop. Realistically, it makes for a great spot to demonstrate your cooking skills in front of your guests.  You get a row of counter space and a couple of storage options behind the island counter, too. There is already a built-in microwave and oven, plus a provision for a refrigerator.

The entire house is filled to the brim with lovely lighting fixtures.

If there's one major thing that you'd probably notice in this house, it would have to be the selection of lighting. Take your pick from the stylish chandelier that takes center stage in the living area, the bulb drop lights in the powder room, to the more abstract, leaf-like designs in the walk-in closet and dining area.

There's the high ceiling, the white walls, and huge windows. What better way to make the space even more airy than to have a glass staircase? It's the kind of thing you'd see in wedding shoots where the bride leaves her room after getting made up and readies herself to go to church. Yup, it gives off that dreamy feel somehow.

The master bedroom is as spacious as it gets.

It even has access to a balcony and is connected to a walk-in closet. The said closet has a vanity and glass doors for the wardrobe so you could see right through each partition.

Pass through the walk-in closet and get access to the master bathroom, whichi is equipped with his-and-hers sinks, an enclosed shower area, and an automatic water closet.

The third floor has space for what could be your entertainment area.

"A lot of space" is an understatement. While it's probably meant to be where you and the family could cozy up for movie night—thanks to the outlet provisions on one side which is for the television and other appliances—it's up to you how you want to use this area. Imagine the possibilties: a library, a game center, a place where you can display a collection, and so on. Here, you'd also find huge sliding windows that are placed low enough so you could skip over it and get instant access to the third-floor balcony.
