Here's How You Can Easily Pay for Your MMDA Violations

There's a first time for everything. Fender benders, spilled drinks, and maintenance hiccups—they're all bound to happen to a newbie car owner at one point or another, and what's important is knowing how to deal with them. But when it comes to your first traffic violation, the routine is relatively simple. Stay calm, cooperate with the apprehending officer, and be on your merry way following a short delay. Settling the fine that comes with it, however, takes a little more work.

Below you'll find everything you need to know about settling traffic violations and their corresponding fines with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Here's how you can settle your MMDA violations and fines:

There are a couple of ways you can settle your fine with the MMDA but we highly recommended doing a cashless transaction. Here's how:

Land Bank Link Biz Portal:

GrabPay:

1. Select 'Bills' in Grab app
2. Choose MMDA from the billers list
3. Enter your account number and fine amount
4. Complete payment

GCash:

1. Select 'Pay Bills' in GCash app
2. Select 'Government'
3. Select 'MMDA' from list of billers
4. Fill out the payment form
5. Confirm payment

PayMaya:

1. Select 'Pay Bills' on PayMaya app
2. Enter MMDA reference number in 'account' field and amount to be paid
3. Input clearance fee, violation code, and your name
4. Confirm your details and select 'Pay'

Do take note that you have seven days upon receiving your violation receipt to settle your fine. Beyond that, you will need to settle your violation and fine at the MMDA's Redemption Center located along EDSA corner Orense Street in Guadalupe, Makati City. And, if you're the type to collect violations, it's recommended to proceed directly at the MMDA Traffic Management Division and pay your fines there.
