(SPOT.ph) Owning a pet can be very expensive. Like humans, they need the right food, grooming, and other essentials for comfortable living. (Of course, they more than deserve it!) Responsible pet owners also set aside funds for their regular check-ups, vaccines, and medical emergencies. And while we're yet to be allowed to declare our cats and dogs as HMO dependents, you can now get a health plan for your pets through Life by Petto.

About This Pet Health Plan

Life By Petto is the first app-based, pet health plan service that covers the basics of your pet's health and wellness needs. Plans start at P1,200 per month, which already covers diagnostics (blood tests, x-rays, MRIs, urinalysis, ultrasounds, and other lab work), vaccines (puppy or kitten vaccinations and annual inoculations), accidents, and common illnesses (viral infections, bacterial infections, parasitic infections, and skin conditions). You can also top up the basic plan with additional coverage of P20,000/year for minor and major surgeries (including dental work and spay/neuter), P60,000/year for cancer treatment and hospitalization, or P80,000/year for other non-common illnesses.

To enroll in their services, your cat or dog needs to be at least three months old no matter the breed.

For more information, visit Life by Petto's website. They're also available on Google Play and App Store.
