(SPOT.ph) Back in 2019, the Philippines Animal Welfare Society reported that up to 12 million stray cats and dogs roam our streets. This number just kept on increasing as city pounds reached capacity, pandemic pets end up being abandoned when work resumed on-site, and unneutered cats and dogs give birth to little ones. It's a good thing that a number of animal welfare organizations try to rescue domestic animals as much as they can. But they can't do it all.
In an effort to support, protect, and promote the welfare of rescue cats and dogs, Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club partnered with Animal Kingdom Foundation to hold an adoption drive called Home at Last: Pet Activity Day with Animal Kingdom Foundation. This is happening on April 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Robinsons Magnolia's Central Garden in Quezon City.

The on-site adoption activity hopes to rehome seven rescue dogs: Rosie, Ana, Caly, Choco, Arthur, Bea, and Aquina; three cats: Primo, Calico, and Matt; and four puppies: Alfie, Olive, Edward, and Miles. Fun activities are also scheduled throughout the day, such as games, a pet "pawrade," talks on responsible pet ownership, and raffle draws with cool prizes.
